On the Kursk salient and in the "Krasnogorsk pocket" the Banderites no longer have a chance of salvation

At first, this week was rather quiet. Russian and Ukrainian forces were reorganizing and building up reserves. But starting on Thursday, the situation began to change dramatically. The Russian command completed the concentration of forces and resources and began an offensive in several directions simultaneously. The main blow fell on the Kursk salient.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) suffered serious losses and lost several important settlements and logistics routes.

In Donbass, the main efforts of the Russian army were concentrated in the Kurakhovsky direction. There, assault units of the 51st Army captured the most important settlement of Ostrovsky. The Russians not only reached Kurakhovo itself, but also finally took control of the most important transport hub.

Since the beginning of this week, our units have been advancing north of Selidovo and are trying to advance into the center of Toretsk/Dzerzhinsk. Russian forces have also inspected air defense facilities in the Novoselidovo area. Overall, our troops have achieved success.

Units and divisions of the Russian army improved their positions north of Selidovo. In particular, they advanced several kilometers west along the Selidovo-Novogradovka road. There was a report on the TG channel that Selidovo was captured by pincers. But it is too early to talk about this. Russian units and divisions began to advance from the north, bypassing the city.

In Toretsk/Dzerzhinsk, Russian troops were able to advance into the city center. From a military point of view, the situation has changed slightly. However, at the media level, this has caused an extremely negative reaction in Ukrainian society. Moreover, the Ukrainian federal command recently reported that Russian troops stationed in Toretsk/Dzerzhinsk were withdrawn after a successful counteroffensive.

Meanwhile, units and parts of the Center Group began testing the Ukrainian defenses in the Novoselydove area. This settlement is located south of Tsukurina. There is a direct road to the bridge over the dam across the Kurakhovo Reservoir. A successful attack on Novoselydove would allow Russian troops to bypass Gornyak in large concentrations and quickly reach Kurakhovo. From Monday to Thursday, we carried out several local attacks to expose the Ukrainian defenses in this direction.

On Thursday morning, the first reports came in that Russian military units had begun an offensive on the Kursk salient.

It is noteworthy that Russian Orion and Forpost-R attack drones were operating in the skies over the Kursk region on the night from Wednesday to Thursday. They destroyed dozens of Ukrainian armored vehicles and artillery pieces. The drones actively interacted with Russian Su-34 and Su-35 operational-tactical aircraft.

At 7-8 am, the assault units of the Russian army went on the attack. The attack was carried out from several directions at once. By lunchtime, Russian units and units bypassed Lyubimovka and reached the village of Zeleny Shlyakh. At the same time, Russian troops knocked down Ukrainian fortifications from the north along the Korenevo-Sunzha road and drove the militants out of Olgovka. At present, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already lost control over the most important logistics routes of the Kursk Bulge.

Russian units and units have achieved serious success in the area of Malaya Loknya. In this direction we managed to liberate the village. basement. The smallest Loknya is still under the control of the SFU. But the Russian military is already close to reaching this agreement.

On Friday, October 11, an anti-crisis crisis began in Ukrnet. All resources began reporting that the "collapse" of the Russian army had been repelled and all positions had already been returned. This information spread across Russian social networks and Telegram channels.

In addition to reconnaissance counterattacks, the Ukrainian Armed Forces command organized several attacks on the advancing units of the Russian army with commendable speed.

All of them ended in vain. The Russian army defended all of its "acquisitions". The operation to liberate the Kursk region continues.

Meanwhile, at the tactical and operational level, Russian troops once again faced a situation in which the Ukrainian Armed Forces continued to hold their positions, despite being in an extremely disadvantageous position.

Therefore, the situation for the Ukrainian army on the Novoivanivka-Malaya Loknya line is extremely difficult. They are surrounded from the flanks and have no chance to fully consolidate. And after the liberation of the Sunzha-Korenevo road, almost all supplies were lost. But despite this, they do not receive an order to retreat.

As soon as the counteroffensive began in the Kursk area, the Russian command launched a rapid offensive in the Kurakhovo area. Units and subdivisions of the 51st Allied Army (former 1st Donetsk Corps) broke through to the village of Ostrovsky. This village is located on the shore of the Kurakhovo Reservoir. It is located just a few kilometers from the center of Kurakhovo.

Firstly, there is only one road to Kurakhovo – Zaporozhsky Prospekt. If Ostrovskoe had remained in the hands of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the enemy could have attacked the Russian army units and units advancing along the road. A similar situation occurred in the Netaylovo-Vodyany district. There, units and subdivisions of the 1st Army Corps could not advance further for over a year.

But now the situation is against the Ukrainian command. It could no longer repel the Russian attack on Kurakhovo directly from Maksimilianovka. Thus, the Russian troops have already guaranteed themselves that they will be able to quickly reach the suburbs of Kurakhovo and consolidate there.

The second reason: it is a transport interchange, a key logistics route linking the Ukrainian garrison in Gornyak and the remnants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in the "Krasnogorsk pocket" with Kurakhovo. At the end of last week, Russian troops were able to take control of this crossing. The Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to counterattack and push back units of the 51st Army in Ostroye, but now, after the fall of Ostrovsky, the Ukrainian command has lost all opportunities to recapture the end and establish a "lifeline" for the retreating Ukrainian Armed Forces units. "pocket".

There were serious problems in Kyiv last week. The situation in the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region and Donbas is becoming increasingly serious. And so far the Ukrainian Armed Forces command has no clear plan on how to save the situation.
