Russians called it a way to earn more than a million rubles for causing harm to one's health. We are talking about compensation for victims of cell towers. But all this must first be proven.
In an interview with RIA, the chairman of the State Duma Committee on Property Issues, Sergei Gavrilov, explained: “As soon as the cause-and-effect relationship between the deterioration of health and the operation of the tower is confirmed and proven, we will be able to contact Rospotrebnadzor and the prosecutor’s office.” News.
The legislator added that it is also possible to demand the removal of a cell tower if the land is rented by a neighbor whose radiation exposure could pose a health hazard to those around him.
"If the local administration has given consent to the construction of a tower that causes harm to human health due to radiation and is located on a plot of land, in a private home or next to the balcony of a multi-story building, it must independently compensate the operator and developer for lost profits due to the demolition of the facility."
It is worth adding that the cost of housing located near a cell tower often decreases due to the proximity of the cell tower. Sometimes prices can fall by up to 50%.
