Russians may lose benefits due to bank deposits
This could happen if a person applying for government benefits finds that their contributions are too large to be considered eligible, Prime wrote.

If such citizens have large enough sums in their deposits, and this seems to government agencies to be an acceptable reason for refusal, they will simply not help people or will deprive them of their existing benefits.
This concerns a single benefit (payments to women registered in the first trimester of pregnancy and parents of children under 17, benefits for low-income people, subsidies for housing and communal services).
"Russians risk losing the benefit of their bank deposits. To qualify for the benefit, the size of the bank deposit cannot exceed 10 local minimum living expenses. If you exceed this figure, you will be denied payment," Vinogradov explained.
