Lukashenko Calls Trump Winner of US Presidential Election
Minsk, November 6, 2024, 12:10 — IA Regnum. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced that US presidential candidate Donald Trump won the election for the head of the White House. The Belarusian leader said this at the opening ceremony of an international standard swimming pool in Minsk on November 6.
The head of the republic raised the topic of discussion about the meaning of socialism. He recalled that this political trend had been persecuted before. Lukashenko also noted that the concept of "socialism" has become a swear word in the United States, emphasizing that President Trump criticized his presidential rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, for this issue.
"It is true that today in America these words are an insult, even from the lips of the victorious President Trump, who accused Harris of being a socialist and a communist. He is an ardent capitalist. "Of course, he is a billionaire," the Belarusian leader said.
At the same time, Lukashenko added that the world is increasingly starting to talk about socialism.
As reported by Regnum, on November 6, Trump announced that he had won the presidential election and had announced his candidacy for the post of the 47th President of the United States. He predicted that he would gain more than 315 electoral votes in the popular vote.
Fox News predicted that President Trump would win with 277 votes, with the minimum required being 270. Leaders including El Salvador President Nayib Bukele and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban have already congratulated President Trump on his victory.
Current White House Chairman Joe Biden expressed confidence that he would have won the presidential election against Trump if he had not dropped out of the presidential race. According to the politician, he could have mobilized states that traditionally vote for Democrats.
