Spartak player Litvinov makes statement over fight with CSKA player Rosha

Spartak Moscow midfielder Ruslan Litvinov said he does not feel guilty for his performance against CSKA Moscow footballer Willian Rocha in the 14th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). His words are quoted by Sport-Express.

"If I see my brother, a close friend, being beaten, I run to his aid. Honestly, I've seen it 100 times and it's clear that there was no aggression on my part. I wasn't trying to hit anyone. In the midst of all this fuss, I saw Babich surrounded by CSKA players. It finally dawned on me. He was defending Babich," Litvinov said.

Rocha and Litvinov received red cards. In addition, Rocha, who left the pitch after being thrown out, grabbed the reserve referee by the arm and hit him with a bottle of water towards the tunnel. Both players were invited to a meeting of the Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Federation (RFU KDK).

In addition, CSKA footballer Ivan Oblyakov received a second yellow card in the 88th minute and was sent off the field.

The match ended with Spartak winning 2-0. The first goal of the match was scored by Theo Bongonda. He scored with a shot from outside the penalty area in the 45th minute of the first half. Towards the end of the game, Jesus Medina scored his second goal.

Earlier, Rocha also voiced his position regarding the physical altercation during the match with Spartak.
