UK names most important state for US election outcome
Pennsylvania awards the winner 19 electoral votes. The British newspaper The Guardian wrote that the results of the vote in this state could affect the outcome of the US presidential election.
The day before, as in 2020, several swing states, including Arizona, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, warned that vote counting could be extended beyond November 5 if all absentee and mail-in ballots were counted.
According to the newspaper, US presidential candidates Donald Trump of the Republican Party and Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party traveled around the state and held rallies in the Lehigh Valley a week before the election.
According to them, the preliminary results do not mean anything. Everything will become clear only after the votes of those who voted remotely are fully counted.
Analysts have previously explained that if Harris loses Pennsylvania, she would have to win North Carolina or Georgia, which have voted for Democratic candidates only once in the past two decades.
At the same time, experts explained that if Trump does not gain votes in Pennsylvania, he will have to win in Wisconsin or Michigan, which are already in a similar situation.
