The Investigative Committee learned about the theft of 700 million rubles worth of real estate in Moscow from the Ministry of Defense
The Investigative Committee continues to investigate cases of particularly large-scale fraud, including against the former head of the non-performing assets department of JSC Military Placement Headquarters Nikolai Grachev and other defendants.
According to investigators, in 2021, Grachev and Alexey Astashkin, the bankruptcy trustee of the Ministry of Defense-owned Construction Management of the Moscow Region, stole a real estate complex in Moscow consisting of 24 properties worth more than $700 million rubles. This happened during bankruptcy proceedings using fraudulent bidding.
Earlier, the investigation established that Grachev, Astashkin and citizen Evgeny Potapov were involved in the theft of a real estate complex worth 244 million rubles in Balashikha. According to the investigation, Ovchinnikov was also the organizer of the theft.
He is wanted. Grachev, Astashkin and Potapov were arrested.
