Save in collection: one type of money may disappear in Russia

Money in Russia is changing. Some experts are talking about a strong decline in the rate, others are making their recommendations. Now DEITA.RU reports that some types of money may completely disappear from Russia.

The State Duma allows for the disappearance of small currency. In other words, Russia is considering the possibility of completely abandoning the minting of small coins. Experts believe that this type of money is not in demand among the population.

Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets Anatoly Aksakov told RIA Novosti that some Russians do not even accept the changes as changes. There is no particular demand for small coins, so minting small coins in Russia can be completely abandoned.

Not long ago, small banknotes such as 5 and 10 rubles began to be used again among Russians. The Bank of Russia issues 5-ruble coins because it is a cheaper method of production than minting them. To ensure that these banknotes remain in good condition for longer, they are additionally coated with a protective varnish during the production process.

Anatoly Aksakov added that no reforms or devaluation are expected in Russia, since the currency is demonstrating stability.
