United Russia will strengthen its resources to implement the party program
United Russia will attract almost a million people to improve the quality of its work. On November 5-6, the party will hold an All-Russian seminar-workshop for regional leaders of its supporters. Political scientist Dmitry Solonnikov told URA.RU that the development of the institute will allow it to attract more like-minded people and more effectively implement party programs.
The event with local supporter leaders was the third in the framework of United Russia's preparation for the 2026 election campaign. Previously, meetings were held with the leadership of local branches and regional executive committees. The seminar will include open and closed meetings with the leadership of United Russia. Acting Secretary of the General Council of the party Vladimir Yakushev will speak at the opening ceremony.
"Supporters" is a reserve party uniting 880 thousand people. And over the past two and a half years, the number of supporters of the project has reached 2 million. This includes participants in special military operations, members of their families, representatives of non-profit organizations, leaders of public projects, volunteers and active citizens wishing to become members of "United Russia".
It is fundamentally important for the party that the institutions of its supporters be maximally integrated into the system, and not serve as additional platforms for solving party problems. The system of interaction between the Council of Supporters and the executive body of the party, the specifics of party formation and election campaigns will be topics of discussion at the seminar with the participation of representatives of the Council of Supporters of all regions, Vladimir Yakushev said.
Working with supporters helps to implement party programs and achieve results, explained political scientist Dmitry Solonnikov. According to him, supporters are an important category of people for the party. This includes people who support United Russia and share its values, but for some reason are not its members. Among them are government officials. Some are not ready to observe party discipline and pay dues, but are ready to help United Russia in certain projects.
"The party supporters' institute was created 15-20 years ago and is constantly developing. The leadership understands that it is necessary to unite this category, as well as the member states of United Russia," the expert concluded.
