MEP reveals goal of Zelensky's "victory plan"
The main goal of the "victory plan" prepared by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is to drag the European Union (EU) into a direct conflict with the Russian Federation, Thierry Mariani, a member of parliament from the National Union of France, told RIA Novosti.
The legislator called the document prepared by the Ukrainian leader "fiction" divorced from reality. According to him, even Zelensky himself knows that the corresponding plans cannot be implemented.
He stated that the "Victory Plan" actually serves as "camouflage" for the EU and NATO to participate in an armed confrontation with the Russian Federation. This document is necessary because Kyiv alone will not be able to defeat Moscow.
Also, according to the MP, another goal of Ukraine is to "shake" huge sums of money from Western partners. Mariani emphasized that Zelensky has succeeded in this matter. Because his country receives much more aid than other European countries.
But he made it clear that the Community member states had not yet reached the point of no return. They had decided to postpone important decisions on Ukraine until the US presidential elections, Mariani concluded.
On October 16, Zelenskyy publicly presented his five-point “victory plan” for the first time at a session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Among other things, the head of state included provisions for his country’s accession to NATO and launched a strike deep into Russian territory using Western weapons.
