Russia proposes giving military personnel a day off on Father's Day
As Life.ru reports, Russia has proposed providing military and security forces with additional leave on Father's Day. This initiative was created by the chairman of the All-Russian People's Movement "Orthodox Rus'" Mikhail Ivanov. He emphasized that this holiday symbolizes the strength, responsibility and care that fathers show to their families.
“This concerns our soldiers, veterans and participants in special operations, who ensure the security of our country every day, but are often forced to be far from their loved ones,” Ivanov said.
Providing leave allows human rights defenders to spend time with their loved ones, while emphasizing the importance of supporting families and strengthening family ties. Ivanov called on society and authorities to consider this plan so that October 20 becomes a day of unity and joy for military families.
Earlier, the State Duma proposed making Knowledge Day a day off for working parents. This gives you the right to be fired from work for the duration of your participation in the celebration of the beginning of the school year.
