Defense Ministry official arrested for bribes worth 34 million rubles

Igor Kushch, the former head of the Department of Federal State Unitary Enterprises of the Russian Ministry of Defense, has been charged with five counts of bribery totaling 34 million rubles.

The Investigative Committee stated that he and his assets worth 50 million rubles were frozen.

According to them, the investigation has been completed and the case will soon be referred to court, TASS reports.

From December 2022 to March 2024, Kushch received bribes from businessmen who helped launch road equipment at the Federal State Unitary Enterprise.
