HeadHunter: salaries of managers in Russia increased by 1.6 times in a year

HeadHunter: Salaries of managers in the Russian Federation have increased by 1.6 times compared to last year.

Demand for middle and senior managers in Russia has increased by 14% compared to last year, while salaries have grown by 1.6 times. This is stated in a review by the transport company PEK, which is cited by HeadHunter and RBC.

Demand for mid- and senior-level managers grew fastest in hotels and restaurants (+38%), the financial sector (+29%), housing and utilities (+24%) and oil and gas (+23%). It includes companies providing services to the population in agriculture and energy more than any other company (+21%).

Managers are most often recruited in the retail sector (11.1 thousand vacancies, which is the same as last year), the IT industry (9.1 thousand vacancies, +17% compared to the same period last year) and organizations providing business services (8 thousand vacancies, an increase of 4% compared to the previous year).

In most industries (24 out of 30 surveyed), salaries of middle and senior managers increased by double-digit percentages. The largest increase was observed in the salaries of heads of cultural and art institutions (+40% compared to the previous year, up to 100,000 rubles), the metallurgical industry (+38%, up to 139,000 rubles), the financial sector (+33%, up to 150,000), automobile companies (+33%, up to 149,000) and enterprises producing industrial equipment (+32%, up to 140,000 rubles).

The highest salaries are earned by managers of companies providing services to businesses (178 thousand, a 20% increase compared to last year).

Since last year, salaries in the medical sector (up to 121,000 rubles), budget organizations and agriculture (up to 101,000 rubles) have increased slightly (+1%). The level of salaries in the education sector has decreased (-1%) (132 thousand rubles).

The study included the number of vacancies and proposed salary scales in 30 industries on the HeadHunter platform. The period from January to September 2023 and 2024 was considered.
