Frosts are expected in the capital this evening, Yevgeny Tishkovets, a senior expert at the Phobos meteorological center, told TASS.
In addition, dry weather without precipitation will continue in Moscow until at least Tuesday, October 22. Forecasters noted that from October 17, the atmosphere in the central part of Russia will shift to high pressure mode.
This weekend, October 19 and 20, it will be warm up to 8-10 degrees. By the beginning of next week, the air will warm up to 10-12 degrees, which is 2-3 degrees above the climatic norm, Tishkovets summed up.
Last night in Moscow was the coldest in October. The temperature at the VDNKh weather station dropped by 0.3 degrees to 3.3 degrees in Balchug. Frosts were recorded in Tushino and Butovo, cooling the air to negative values.
Accordingly, meteorologist Nikolai Tereshonok suggested that the amount of snow in the capital this winter will be greater than usual, since the southern cyclone will bring a lot of moisture. According to his forecast, there will be heavy snowfalls in the region on some days, with the greatest increase in precipitation expected in January and February.
