Novosibirsk Region will not face magnetic storm on October 17
IKI and ISTP posted information on the Institute of Solar Astronomy website that a coronal hole has appeared in the northern hemisphere of the Sun, but this does not seem to have any effect on the intensification of the magnetic storm.
"The Earth's magnetic field can become unbalanced when it gets caught in these high-speed currents and turns into a stage one or two storm," the institute said.
