Last week, prices for fruits and vegetables fell in Russia, especially for carrots, apples, beets, cabbage and tomatoes. According to Rosstat, prices fell by up to 2%.
"According to the ministry, among the goods whose prices have decreased, carrots have fallen in price by 1.9%, apples by 1.4%, beets by 1.2%, cabbage by 1%, tomatoes by 0.6%. The data is reported by RIA Novosti. At the same time, prices for a number of goods have also increased. For example, prices for bananas and potatoes have increased (1.3%), cucumbers and onions (0.2%).
Earlier, we observed a significant increase in prices for butter. The markup on this type of product can reach 70%. Also, as noted by Rusprodsoyuz, the increase in prices is associated with an increase in costs. Meat prices have also increased, the National News Service reports.
