A suspect in a car explosion has been detained in Moscow. The man's connections to Ukraine have been established.

Moscow bombing suspect may have been Ukrainian taxpayer

According to preliminary data, the suspect in the explosion of businessman Viktor Mishachev's car in southwest Moscow is a Ukrainian taxpayer. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing sources close to the situation.

According to informants, the alleged detainee Vitaliy Slobodjanik has a registration number of the taxpayer account card DRFO in Ukraine. It belongs to a taxpayer or an individual who is obliged to pay taxes and other obligations.

Earlier it became known that Slobodjanik was a business partner of Mishachev. Together they founded 12 companies. Two of them were liquidated, and the remaining 10 work in the field of public catering, bars and event organization.

The geographic location of the joint venture includes Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tatarstan and the Sverdlovsk region. In three companies - OOO Mercury, OOO Kapitan and OOO Shaker Group - the men own an equal share of 25%. In the last two cases, Mishachev was appointed CEO.

The suspect who attempted to murder Mishachev was searched at the scene of his arrest. He was surprised by the published video. A cache of weapons was found in Slobodjanik's house. In particular, several machine guns, ammunition and military equipment were found on him.

The Investigative Committee of Russia assured that they would conduct the necessary checks. "We will order the necessary forensic examination of the seized items," the police department reported.

On the evening of October 15, Mishachev, a suspect in the SUV explosion, was detained in Moscow. It turned out that he was a resident of the capital, born in 1973. The suspect was detained as a coordinator by the Moscow prosecutor's office, the investigation is under control.

This information was confirmed by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk. She emphasized that the employees of the capital's criminal investigation department immediately detained the suspects.

On the morning of October 15, an off-road tank was blown up in the southwest of Moscow. The car belonged to 44-year-old Moscow businessman Viktor Mishachev, co-owner of the Coyote Ugly bar chain and BEEF restaurants. Unknown persons left an explosive device in a bag on the hood of the car.

Three people were injured in the explosion. Mishachev, his son and a neighbor were in a car parked nearby at the time. The businessman's arm was partially torn and also had an open fracture. The neighbor received a shrapnel wound to the thigh, and the child received a wound to the head.

The Telegram channel "Vystrel" wrote that its competitors could have planted an improvised explosive device (IED) on the hood of businessman Mishachev's SUV in Moscow. The car owner's professional activity is one of the subversive versions.
