Court arrests former deputy governor of Bryansk region Petrochenko
The court granted the investigator's motion and remanded Petrochenko in custody until December 14, 2024, TASS was told in connection with the press service. However, the circumstances of the criminal case and the provisions of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation are not disclosed.
Alexander Petrochenko has held the position of Deputy Governor of the Bryansk Region since April 2022. Prior to that, from January 2019, he headed regional security in the Bryansk Region.
At the end of September, the head of the region, Alexander Bogomaz, announced an investigation into the former deputy governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Petrochenko, which is being conducted by the FSB.
