Igor Kushch, the head of the equipment and mechanisms department of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "State Military Construction Agency No. 14" of the Russian Defense Ministry, was accused of receiving a bribe in the amount of more than 34 million rubles. This was reported by the committee.

Kush is accused of receiving five particularly large bribes between December 2022 and March 2024. According to investigators, the defendants stated that representatives of the commercial organization GVSU No. helped pay for 14 decommissioned road construction machines.

A criminal case has been opened against Kushch under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code. Article 290 of the Criminal Code provides for imprisonment for up to 15 years, a fine of up to 70 times the amount of the bribe, and deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to 15 years. years.

Since April 2024, high-ranking Defense Ministry generals and civilians have been arrested one after another on charges of bribery and embezzlement. The first in a series of criminal cases was against Deputy Minister Timur Ivanov.
