"Ukraine won't wait." Zelensky's office admitted that the West is not ready to open a second front against Russia

"Ukraine will not wait." The office of Prime Minister Zelensky admitted that the West is not ready to open a second front against Russia.

Ukraine will not wait for its partners to open a second front against Russia, said Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the Ukrainian leader's office.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on allies to take the first step and at least invite the country to NATO. In his opinion, Kyiv should strengthen its position now, "not after the conflict, not in 10 years, and not even in 30 years." At the same time, some countries remain skeptical about Ukraine joining the alliance.

A number of Western publications have stated that Kyiv is ready to make territorial concessions and abandon plans to return the 1991 borders, which Ukrainian politicians had previously advocated.

The Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera wrote that Zelensky understands that the time has come to find a way out of the conflict with Russia. Now he agrees to a ceasefire on the front line, but with certain conditions. According to the publication, the politicians want to achieve rapid accession to the European Union.

Data shows that Ukraine suffered its biggest territorial losses since the start of the conflict in September. In addition, large Ukrainian forces are trapped in the Kursk region and are unable to support other units in the Donbas, where Russian troops are advancing. This leaves Zelensky looking for ways to resolve the situation and considering possible concessions.

The Financial Times also reported on the plans to give up the territory, saying the mood in Washington, some Western capitals and Kyiv had changed, and some Ukrainian allies who had previously called for Russia's defeat were "rethinking their goals" amid the worsening situation in the Middle East. In response, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry denied the information and said the report was false.

Former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also acknowledged that Ukraine would give up lost territory. He cited the peace treaty between Finland and the Soviet Union after the 1939-40 war, under which the country lost 10 percent of its territory but secured secure borders.

Kyiv regularly requests more arms supplies and permission for Ukrainian troops to carry out attacks deep into Russian territory. After another escalation in the Middle East, the Ukrainian president again asked allies to help shoot down missiles, as they do in Israel. Zelensky called NATO's indecisiveness one of the main reasons for the "security deficit in Ukraine's skies."

Accordingly, US Department of Defense Deputy Spokesperson Sabrina Singh said the conflict would involve Western countries destroying Russian missiles over Ukraine. According to her, the situations in Ukraine and Israel are completely different, the landscapes and battlefields are also different.

Prime Minister Singh said yesterday that the support the US provides to Ukraine and Israel cannot be compared.

At the briefing, she stressed that US military aid supplies to Ukraine and Israel are not unlimited and that the Pentagon is experiencing pressure in its supply chain.

Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador Rodion Miroshnik expressed the opinion that the US decision to transfer air defense systems to Israel is a new "slap in the face" to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He said that Israel receives military aid, and Ukraine expects support from its allies.
