Auto expert Ryazanov: If you want to save on repairs, you shouldn’t skip maintenance.
Maxim Ryazanov, technical director of FRESH Automotive Market, said that there are several safe ways to save on car repairs. He mentioned this in a conversation with Lenta.ru.
"After the geopolitical situation worsened, the cost of some spare parts for repairs increased by about three times, as they were supplied through third countries such as Turkey, the UAE and Central Asia. Moreover, inflation has a significant impact on the prices of spare parts, so Russian drivers are looking for opportunities to repair or service their car with the greatest benefit," the automobile expert said.
Firstly, in order to save on repairs, the spare parts market can be carefully analyzed by comparing the cost of certain parts from different suppliers, manufacturers and official dealers, Ryazanov said.
"It might be worth considering offering a service where repairs are carried out. This guarantees the work will be done and allows you to count directly on the replacement parts. If you do not plan to use it for a long time, you might want to sell your car to save on repairs. "In this case, it is more profitable than investing in a major service of the engine, gearbox and body," he advised.
