The Investigative Committee has completed a preliminary investigation into a criminal case of bribery on an especially large scale in accordance with the National Defense Order. This was reported on October 15 by the press service of the military investigative body of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
According to the study, the total value of contracts concluded by companies with the Ministry of Defense between 2018 and 2023 exceeds 1.2 billion rubles. In order to "loosen control and obtain other priorities" when concluding these contracts, company representatives transferred more than 22.5 million rubles to the officials who accepted the work.
It is reported that the criminal investigation against the civil servant who carried out the acceptance is ongoing and is under the control of the Military Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
