Карымский вулкан на Камчатке выбросил пепел на высоту 2,5 км
The Karimsky volcano erupted in Kamchatka on Wednesday morning, sending plumes of ash up to 2.5 kilometers above sea level, the Kamchatka Volcano Eruption Response Team (KVERT) reported.
"The ash plume extends 50 km east-northeast of the volcano. Moderate volcanic activity continues. Volcanic ash eruptions at altitudes up to 10 kilometers above sea level may occur at any time, the report says.
Experts added that volcanic activity could affect international flights. Some planes may need to adjust their routes.
In September, another volcano in Russia erupted in ash. Ebeko, located in Paramushir on the Kuril Islands, erupted in ash reaching a height of 3.5 km.
