Вильфанд: в четырех округах РФ прогнозируются заморозки ночью до -18°C
Frosts are expected in the Russian Far East, in the Siberian, Volga and Ural Federal Districts on Wednesday evening, with temperatures ranging from -4°C to -18°C. This forecast was shared with TASS by Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorology Center.
According to weather forecasters, night temperatures in Buryatia are expected to be approximately -10°C, and in the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan and Tyumen regions, thermometer readings will fluctuate from -4°C to -9°C.
Vilfand added that cold weather is also expected in the Southern Volga Federal District, Orenburg Region and Bashkiria. The air temperature will drop to -8°C. The air temperature in Kirov and Nizhny Novgorod Regions is in the positive zone and fluctuates between 0 and +5°C.
In the south of Western Siberia, in the Kemerovo and Novosibirsk regions, frosts of up to -7°C are also expected, in Altai - up to -8°C. Temperatures in Yakutia fluctuate from -15°C to -18°C.
On October 15, forecaster Alexander Ilyin from the Meteorological Forecasting Center predicted that Muscovites would experience typical autumn weather in the next few days after the snow and rain that blanketed the capital on Monday.
