Moscow Department of Transport recommends switching to public transport due to snow
The first snow fell in Moscow this morning, rain and wind with gusts of up to 15 m/s were recorded. Due to the inclement weather, the Ministry of Transport recommended using public transport when traveling around the city.
Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a senior expert at the Meteonovosti agency, said that the night of October 14 was the coldest day of the month. She noted that the temperature in the VDNKh area dropped to 2.4 degrees Celsius.
In the Moscow region, drivers are urged to exercise caution and caution due to bad weather. According to Avtodor, wet snow is expected on the M-1 Belarus, M-3 Ukraine, M-4 Don, M-11 Neva and M-12 Vostok highways.
In addition, the local transport authority warned that the temperature could drop to zero degrees at night. The yellow alert level will remain in Moscow and the Moscow region until Tuesday.
