Vodokanal employees accused of bribery: Tyumen FSB opens criminal case
Three employees of the Tyumen Vodokanal have become defendants in a criminal case. They have been charged with commercial bribery. This was reported to 72.RU by the regional department of the FSB of Russia.
Investigators believe that employees of the Tyumen Water Utility received money from representatives of one of the developer's contractors for speeding up the process of coordinating completed work on the construction of water supply and sewerage networks for the construction sites. With the help of financial resources, we signed the technical inspection reports for these networks.
— Two criminal cases have been opened and are being investigated under the article “Commercial bribery by a group of persons by prior agreement”. Punishment for these crimes is up to nine years of imprisonment,” the UFSB of Russia for the Tyumen Region stated.
Tyumen Vodokanal has been operating since 2006. It is engaged in water supply and sewerage in the city. In 2023, the company's revenue amounted to 8.1 billion rubles, net profit - 2.8 billion rubles. This company is part of the Rosvodokanal structure. Among the beneficiaries are the founders of Alfa Group Mikhail Fridman and German Khan. The consortium operates in various business areas: banking, insurance, leasing, retail (Chizhik, Pyaterochka, Perekrestok).
