Real cannibalism: ideas of a tax on childlessness up to 40 thousand per month proposed to be tested for extremism

The State Duma has proposed testing the idea of a tax on childlessness for extremism. This was reported by Deputy Minister Sergei Mironov, commenting on the new initiative.

Earlier, the director of the Institute of Financial and Economic Studies Alexey Zubets said that the tax on childless people in Russia should be 30-40 thousand rubles per month. According to him, people who cannot have children for medical reasons or families raising only one child should also pay.

"We need to check whether the idea of taxing childlessness is extremist," Mironov said. - Not long ago, Zubets, director of the Institute of Social and Economic Research at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, even proposed his own tax rate of 30-40 thousand rubles per month for families without children. I hope that higher-ranking liberal financiers will not understand this "hint," which I like to use foul language about. Unfortunately, it is impossible to introduce a tax on callousness and insensitivity.

According to him, "some cowardly demographic subjects are moving towards real cannibalism, bordering on extremism."

"It would be helpful for law enforcement to explore these ideas," the deputy secretary added.
