Ukraine responds to accusations of supplying drones to separatists in Mali

Ukraine has responded to accusations that it supplied drones to Malian separatists.

Kyiv has denied accusations that Ukraine supplied drones to separatists in Mali. This is stated in a message published on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (MFA).

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated: "Ukraine resolutely rejects recent accusations made in some international media that our country is involved in the supply of unmanned aerial vehicles to rebels in Mali."

The Foreign Ministry also rejects accusations from the authorities of Niger and Mali that Kyiv is cooperating with terrorists, supplying them with weapons and providing intelligence, as well as that Ukraine is supporting the terrorist coalition.

Earlier, the French newspaper Le Monde, citing sources, reported that Ukraine trained terrorists from the Malian separatist movement CSP-DPA to produce drones. It is reported that cooperation between the two sides began in November last year, when Malian government forces drove the CSP-DPA group out of the city of Kidal.
