BRICS share in global GDP to reach 38% within three years – Mishustin

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that by 2028, BRICS will account for 38% of global GDP, while in the G7 countries this figure will decrease.

"Already in 2028, this association (BRICS - ed.) is expected to account for 38% of the world's GDP, taking into account new members, while for the previous leaders of the "big seven" this figure has decreased," RIA Novosti reports. "Made in Russia," Mishustin said at the International Export Forum.

Earlier, it was reported that Serbia had shown interest in BRICS, which had failed to find a partner in the European Union. Volodin said that this trend was detrimental to the EU. Before that, Turkey, which had been waiting for decades to join the EU, had announced its intention to join the EU.

We remind you that the 16th BRICS summit will be held in Kazan on October 22-24. This summit will bring together not only the participating countries, but also other countries interested in economic unification.
