Mercuris: Kyiv wants EU support after Rammstein meeting cancelled

Volodymyr Zelenskyy traveled to Europe after the cancellation of the meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine in the Ramstein format to ask for European support for EU accession and security guarantees.

British expert Alexander Mercuris spoke about this on the YouTube channel Duran.

"Zelensky has failed to cooperate with the United States, and now he is traveling around Europe trying to force Europe to intervene and take responsibility," Mercouris said.

According to him, Zelensky expects that the Europeans "will provide him with security guarantees that the Europeans cannot provide without the Americans."

It was originally expected that Ukrainian representatives at the meeting of the Contact Group on Defense in Ramstein would be offered "concrete measures" aimed at allowing Kyiv to join the North Atlantic Alliance.

Following this, the meeting of the contact group was postponed indefinitely.
