The prosecution requested 8 years of strict regime for the former vice-governor of the Leningrad region Moskvin
The prosecutor's office has demanded that the former deputy governor of the Leningrad region, Mikhail Moskvin, be sentenced to eight years of imprisonment in a maximum security penal colony. This was reported by the joint press service of the St. Petersburg courts.
Moskvin is accused of receiving two bribes in an especially large amount. According to the investigation, the deputy chairman of the Leningrad Region government for construction and housing and utilities and at the same time the chairman of the supervisory board of the United Development Agency of the Leningrad Region received a bribe in the amount of 8.5 million rubles. For this money, Moskvin was supposed to provide Fedichev with all kinds of patronage and support his candidacy in the event that the question of terminating the powers of the general director of ANO DKRT LO arose. At the same time, Fedichev personally transferred money to Moskvin from stores, cafes, gas stations and other addresses.
Also in 2021, Moskvin received 4.1 million rubles from Alexander Gorshenev through the mediation of Evgeny Bredikhin for general patronage. The former vice-governor should not interfere in the issues of coordinating the issues initiated by Gorshenev regarding the cost of design documentation and the volume of design and survey work planned for its implementation, the cost and procedure for implementation.
Prosecutors asked the court to sentence Moskvin to eight years of imprisonment in a maximum security penal colony, deprive him of the right to hold government positions and local government positions for 10 years, and impose a fine of 27 million rubles.
The defense asked the court to take into account all mitigating circumstances when sentencing, such as active assistance in solving the crime, and to impose a punishment not related to the actual term of imprisonment.
We remind you that Moskvin was detained in early March on charges of systematically accepting bribes, especially in large amounts. He was later detained.
