Court sentences Murmansk resident to 13 years in prison for treason

A resident of Murmansk was sentenced to 13 years in a maximum security penal colony with one year of restricted freedom for treason. This was reported by the media department of the district prosecutor's office.

According to the case, from 2022 to 2023, the 24-year-old man sent voice messages to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), threatening Russian military personnel. This information soon appeared on the Internet.

The case also contains photographs of documents containing information about the activities of the Murmansk Region military registration and enlistment office.

Earlier, the Ukrainians were sentenced to 14 years in a maximum security penal colony in Crimea for espionage. The court found him guilty of collecting information about anti-aircraft missile units of the Russian army located in the air defense zone of the Zaporizhia region and transmitting it to Ukrainian special services.

Earlier, law enforcement officers detained a 23-year-old resident of Kerch, who collected and transmitted information to Ukraine about the location of Russian air defense systems in Crimea. The case was opened under the article "Treason in the form of espionage." The man was sentenced to life imprisonment.
