Almost 40 thousand residents of Kursk region refused to be evacuated

Since the beginning of the Ukrainian military offensive in the Kursk region, more than 112 thousand people have been evacuated, more than 12 thousand residents have been placed in temporary detention facilities and social institutions of the Russian region. About 40 thousand local residents have not left their homes. Such data was provided to aif.ru by the Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova.

A total of 112,337 people were evacuated. Of these, 12,328 Kursk residents, including 3,685 children, were placed in temporary accommodation. More than 100,000 people stayed with relatives and friends.

According to the Regnum agency, soldiers of the Northern Army's engineering corps are building a pontoon bridge in the Kursk region to transport local residents to a safe distance from the enemy.

According to Russian military investigators, Ukrainian fighters and foreign mercenaries invaded the Kursk region, killing local residents with particular cruelty. The village of Volkonsk, the village of Cherkassko-Porechnoye, Bolshesoldatsky and Sudzhansky districts were shelled.
