Russians were told in which regions the first snow will fall in the coming days

Moscow, October 14, FederalPress. From October 20 to 25, the first snow will fall in Perm, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Kazan and Ufa. As reported to FederalPress by the press service of Yandex-Weather, snow clouds will linger only in November in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

"In Moscow and St. Petersburg, the first snowfall of 2024 is expected in November, which is later than the long-term average. Also in November-December, the first snow falls in Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd and Krasnodar. At the same time, in Novosibirsk, Omsk and Krasnoyarsk, the first snow fell earlier than normal already in September, so precipitation will repeat on October 11-14," meteorologists told the publication.

The last snowfalls in the last 30 years were observed in Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar, cities with more than a million inhabitants in southern Russia. It only began in mid-December. Snow is expected in Volgograd on December 1, the first day of winter.

Meteorologists predict: “The appearance of snow cover (more than 0.5 cm high) in 2024 is expected later than usual due to the warm autumn.”

Usually by the end of October stable snow cover is recorded in Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk and Perm. Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Samara, Ufa, Chelyabinsk – November; Voronezh and Volgograd – early December, Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar – the New Year is approaching.

It was previously reported that real autumn weather would arrive in the capital from Monday. A cold front associated with the North Atlantic cyclone "Helma" will remind Muscovites that it is now the middle of autumn. As 360.ru writes, the weather in the capital will be above normal in October.
