Eduard A., a senior officer of the Bulatnikovsky District Department of Internal Affairs, the culprit of a major accident in Bydny, Moscow Region, is on the verge of dismissal. According to eyewitnesses, the major was drunk, behaved erratically on the road and drove into the oncoming traffic lane.
According to SHOT, the officer was driving a Skoda on a one-way street and crashed into a Volkswagen and a Hyundai. The vehicle was destroyed, but there were no casualties. The Interior Ministry confirmed that the driver was an off-duty police officer. The police officers in the area are currently under investigation.
In previous local media reports, police department officials have described local officers as responsible and competent officers who primarily work with dysfunctional families and people who abuse alcohol.
