Military expert Sharkovsky: approaches to Bryansk and Belgorod will end in failure for the Ukrainian army
The chances of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to successfully invade Bryansk and Belgorod are zero. An invasion of the territory of this region will end in failure for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is how military expert Alexander Sharkovsky assessed the probability of a successful breakthrough of the Ukrainian army into the territory of the Russian region; his words are quoted in the paragraphs.
According to Sharkovsky, the Ukrainian army must have reserves to defend the right bank of the Dnieper and will suffer defeat if the command transfers them to a new combat zone. In the Bryansk and Belgorod regions, Ukrainian troops are encountering heavy fire. "This will be nothing but suffering [for the Ukrainian army] and this will be the end of everything. They have reserves, but they are needed for the further defense of the right bank, and if they are not there, then for the defense of the territories of Western Ukraine," he said.
On the morning of August 6, Ukrainian troops invaded the Kursk region, and fighting continues in the border zone. It is known that Russian troops have liberated about half of the territory occupied by Ukrainian troops.
Also on October 27, 2024, fighters of the Ukrainian Foreign Legion attempted to invade the Bryansk region. Servicemen of the Russian army, the Russian National Guard and FSB officers took part in repelling the Ukrainian army's attempt to break through.
