The head of state noted that the launch of the nuclear-powered icebreaker marks an important step in the history of our modern icebreaker fleet.
The nuclear icebreaker Chukotka became the fourth serial icebreaker of the project.

And next year, as agreed, the icebreaker "Stalingrad" of the same series should be built. In addition, the most powerful new-generation nuclear icebreaker "Lider" is being built at the Far Eastern plant "Zvezda", he recalled.
