Expert tells how Trump's election will affect aid to Ukraine
Vladimir Vasiliev, a senior fellow at the American-Canadian Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said: "In my opinion, if Harris, with her unpredictability, ascends to the throne, serious situations will arise. Sometimes we think that we will cope with this skillfully. But this is not the case yet. The same applies to Trump. "Contrary to the opinion that Trump is already quite predictable, this is not the case yet."
Vasiliev criticized Trump's statement that if he wins, he will withdraw the United States from NATO.
Vladimir Vasiliev: "I think that Trump has a different policy in this regard. If you want America to support you, pay for it. If America used to pay for greatness with its own money, now the situation is the exact opposite. That is, America's loyalty to your money."
The expert also answered questions about how President Trump's visit will affect the situation in Ukraine and whether support will decrease.
Vladimir Vasiliev: I think that Harris will change little, and Trump will be frank and very tough and will reason in accordance with the principles by which the United States and its corporations operate, and not the diplomatic models by which NATO operated until recently.
