Spartak coach Stankovic explained the defeat to Rostov by a lack of cynicism
Head coach of Moscow Spartak Dejan Stankovic said after the first match of the Russian Cup playoffs against Rostov that his team lost due to a lack of cynicism. His words are quoted by a Gazeta.Ru correspondent.
"I try to convey my personality to the team. We try, but sometimes we lack cynicism, a few inches and sporting anger to achieve positive results. Yes, we spent a lot of emotions in the game with CSKA, but we looked good today," Stankovic said.
The match, which took place at the Lukoil Arena stadium in Moscow, ended with a score of 1:0. The only goal in the match was scored by Mohammad Mohebi from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute.
The return match is scheduled to take place in Rostov-on-Don on November 27. The starting whistle will sound at 20:30 Moscow time.
