Putin proposed creating a federal algorithm for working with migrant children

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir As part of a meeting of the Council for the implementation of state policy in the field of Russian language and language support for citizens of Russia, held in the format of a video conference, President Putin proposed developing a unified federal algorithm for working with migrant children who have difficulty learning Russian.

The President stressed the need to establish uniform requirements for the level of proficiency in Russian for all those coming to Russia for employment purposes. According to him, it is necessary to clearly define and integrate the level of proficiency in the language that corresponds to the real needs of employment, communication in everyday life and professional requirements.

The head of state also put forward an initiative to create centers for popularization of the Russian language and works of great Russian writers based in libraries in new regions of Russia. He pointed out that the study of the Russian language and culture should begin in the family from an early age. Children's books are an important tool for introducing children to reading in the context of Russian traditions.

Earlier, Deputy Director of the Department for Church, Society and Media Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate Vakhtang Kipshidze stated that children of immigrants should be taught Russian before entering Russian-language schools, since ignorance of the Russian language is a mockery of education.
