Sikorski called Tusk's resignation after Trump's victory nonsense
The idea that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk would have to resign if Republican candidate Donald Trump wins the US election is absurd. Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski commented on the idea:
Earlier, former Republican Minister Mariusz Blaszczak called on Tusk to resign if Trump wins, since the current Polish government relies on US Vice President Kamala Harris.
"This is some kind of absurdity. Should there be a change of power in Poland not because there were elections or because the coalition in the Sejm changed, but because some elections were held in one way or another in another country?" asked Sikorski. His words are quoted by the TVN television channel.
The minister said that, following this logic, Maia Sandu could demand the resignation of Polish President Andrzej Duda, since he is again the president of Moldova.
