Zakharova called the elections in Moldova undemocratic

According to Zakharova, the presidential elections in Moldova were the most undemocratic in the country's independent history, TASS reports. According to her, the campaign was accompanied by unprecedented repressions against the opposition and independent media, especially Russian-language ones.

Zakharova stressed that the election results were influenced by the obvious interference of Western countries and the extensive use of administrative resources by the Maia Sandu administration. She noted the discrimination against Moldovan voters living in Russia, compared to the more than 200 polling stations open to Moldovans in Western Europe and North America.

Let us recall that the current President of Moldova Sandu won the elections with 55.33% of the votes, and her rival Alexandru Stoianoglo received 44.67% of the votes. Before that, it was known that the Moldovan socialists refused to recognize the elections abroad.
