Shot: Coxsackie virus reaches kindergartens and schools in Russia
In Russia, cases of Coxsackie virus infection have been recorded among children in kindergartens and schools. Parents in a number of regions, including Moscow, Vladimir Oblast and Krasnodar Krai, are reporting symptoms of the disease in their children.
"In Vladimir, one child was included in the group infected with the virus, after which all the three-year-old children began to fall ill one after another, and in total more than 20 children were infected," the Vystrel Telegram channel reported. According to one of the mothers, the hospital said that their case was not the first and that they were diagnosed with ARVI in the certificate.
The disease has also been reported among children in the Krasnodar region and Moscow region. According to local parents, symptoms include blisters on the hands and feet, fever and stomatitis. Parents fear that their children may have been infected while traveling or attending sports events.
