Russian Soyuz rocket to launch Iranian satellites into orbit
Kazem Jalali, the Islamic Republic's ambassador to Moscow, announced on X's social media that a Russian Soyuz rocket would launch two Iranian satellites into orbit on November 5.
We are talking about the satellites Qusar and Hadhad. It is planned to launch it into orbit at an altitude of 500 km from the Earth. It is expected that this will happen at 02:48 Tehran time, that is, at 02:18 Moscow time. According to the ambassador, this will be done for the further development of scientific and technological cooperation between Iran and Russia.
The Iranian embassy in Moscow also confirmed the launch. Diplomats wrote about this on the State Department's Telegram channel.
Earlier, Roscosmos reported that more than 80 pieces of debris were found in the orbital plane of the destroyed Intelsat-33e communications satellite. A study of the movement of the resulting debris led to the conclusion that the destruction of the satellite occurred suddenly and was accompanied by a powerful release of energy.
The state company also suggested that there is a risk of collision with other spacecraft, including those belonging to Roscosmos and located in geostationary orbit.
