Boiler plant shut down: regional center freezes in Primorye
The accident occurred in the Kavalerovsky Autonomous Okrug on the night of November 4, reports IA DEITA.RU.
Wet snow did not bring life to the front line in the north of Primorye. At 23.10 the power supply to the central boiler house of Kavalerovo was interrupted. Attempts to switch to another line did not give positive results due to insufficient voltage.
According to JSC Kavalerovskie Elektricheskie Seti, at 8:12 the power supply to the central boiler house was switched to the second source. However, even after the entire city was disconnected, the power supply to the boiler house was not restored.
According to local authorities, heating was turned off in 142 apartment buildings, two schools and two kindergartens. Primteploenergo specialists are currently restarting the boiler. Heating supply to houses in the village of Kavalerovo is expected to be restored in the near future.
In the Kavalerovsky district itself, wet snow felled trees, tore down power lines, and formed snowdrifts 10-15 cm thick on roads and sidewalks.
In the nearby urban district of Dalnegorsk, power supply was cut off in the villages of Kamenka, Krasnorechensky, Tayga and Serzhantovo. In the villages of Krasnorechensky and Tayga, "the situation is difficult and power supply is expected to be restored by 18:00," the city administration reported.
