Bus with passengers falls into pit with boiling water in St. Petersburg

A bus with passengers fell into a hole in the asphalt with its rear wheels in St. Petersburg. This was reported to RIA Novosti by the city transport committee.

The incident occurred on October 18 on Kronshtadt Street. According to local media, a pipe with boiling water burst and the bus fell into a hole.

At the same time, the city's transport commission reported that no passengers were injured in the accident, since the driver immediately removed everyone from the bus.

Earlier, a resident of St. Petersburg was hospitalized with burns after a pipe burst and his car fell into a pit of boiling water. The emergency occurred on Lenya Golikova Street.

A similar case occurred in Omsk, where a 12-year-old schoolgirl was taken to intensive care with extensive first-degree burns after falling into a pit of hot water following an accident on a heating main. Employees of the city corporation "Teplovaya Kompaniya" are accused of committing a crime because they failed to fence off the area under repair. A criminal case has been opened under the article "negligence".
