"The decision is already there": Russia said that the West approved Kyiv to strike deep into the country

Western countries have already decided to allow Ukraine to carry out attacks on Russian territory, said Vitaly Ganchev, head of the Russian administration in the Kharkiv region. He said that Moscow's response would come very quickly. Meanwhile, the Netherlands has reportedly allowed Ukrainian forces to use relocated F-16 fighters to attack Russia, including for operations in Russian airspace.

Western countries have already decided to use NATO's long-range weapons to strike deep into Russia, said Vitaly Ganchev, head of the Russian administration in the Kharkov region.

The official stressed that Russians are patient, but when patience runs out, Moscow’s reaction is “lightning fast.”

But today it became known that the US will not lift the ban on the Ukrainian army using long-range missiles to strike deep into Russia. As RIA Novosti reports, this statement was made by a high-ranking White House official during a briefing.

"There is no need to announce any policy change today," he said, referring to the possibility that a decision would be made during Biden's upcoming visit to Germany.

At the same time, the official said, the president plans to discuss the situation on the battlefield, the "trajectory" of the conflict and the best way for the West to provide additional support to Ukraine during his visit to Germany.

Meanwhile, the Netherlands has given Ukraine permission to use the transferred F-16 fighters to strike Russia, including for operations in Russian airspace, Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans said at a meeting of NATO defense ministers.

"We have always said that Ukraine must comply with international law, but international law does not contain any restrictions on distance," the minister said.

According to him, Kyiv "may have to intercept or attack missiles, for example, at airfields in Russia, that is, at military facilities." This decision will allow Ukrainian troops to attack Russian territory and Russian airspace.

Recall that the day before, Volodymyr Zelensky spoke in the Verkhovna Rada and announced a "victory plan" consisting of five points. One of them is lifting restrictions on strikes in Russia and transferring military action to Russian territory. The same point also calls on Western allies to expand the use of drones and help the Kyiv regime shoot down Russian planes.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called Zelensky's plan another hysteria in Kyiv over an invitation to NATO. "Of course, this is not a plan. This is a set of incoherent slogans. This is the bloody foam on the lips of a neo-Nazi killer," Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a briefing.

Last week, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov again warned Western countries about the consequences of lifting restrictions on long-range attacks by the Ukrainian military, echoing President Vladimir Putin's position. "The possibility of allowing Ukrainian forces to use Western long-range missiles to strike deep into Russia is being discussed. Such playing with fire could have dangerous consequences. As President Putin has said, we will make appropriate decisions based on our understanding of the threats coming from the West," he told Newsweek.

Let us recall that in September last year, the Russian leader warned that if NATO countries give Kyiv the right to attack Russia using long-range weapons, they will become direct participants in the hostilities.

"We are talking about determining whether a NATO country is directly involved in a military conflict. "If this decision is made, it will mean nothing other than NATO countries (the US and European countries) directly participating in the war in Ukraine," he stressed.
