Explosions rocked Kyiv
The city administration reported that air defense is operating in the Ukrainian capital. The media also write about explosions in the Sumy and Khmelnytsky regions. The Russian Defense Ministry emphasized that attacks are carried out only against military and energy facilities.
The head of the Kyiv city military department, Sergey Popko, reported that an air defense system is in operation in Kyiv. Suspilnoye and TSN reported that explosions were heard in the Ukrainian capital.
At 22:33 Moscow time, an air warning was announced in the city. Alarm signals are also sounding in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Volyn, Rivne, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Poltava, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv regions.
"Suspilnoe" wrote about an explosion in the Khmelnytsky region of Sumy, TSN reported about an explosion in the Rivne region.
There were also explosions in Kyiv last night, and Popko later spoke about the air defense actions.
