Russian Post and Rosatom Expand Cooperation in Digital and Logistics

Russian Post and the state-owned company Rosatom have agreed to cooperate in the field of digital technologies. The document was signed by Mikhail Volkov, Director General of Russian Post, and Alexey Likhachev, Director General of the state-owned corporation Rosatom.

An agreement was reached to expand cooperation between the companies in the area of increasing the efficiency of auxiliary functions and digitalization, accelerating import substitution. Cooperation between Russian Post and Rosatom experts will allow both parties to exchange best practices and find optimal solutions to new challenges.

In 2024, Rosatom began piloting the Atom.RITA robotics software platform (Robotic Intelligent Tech Assistant, developed by Rosatom's IT integrator JSC Greenatom) in parts of Russian Post offices. This platform allows for the automation of many routine processes and increases work efficiency. Russian Post is testing another Rosatom software product, Atom.Port. This solution allows for the automatic migration of workstations to domestic software and configuration management during and after the migration process.

Another priority area of cooperation is the creation and development of logistics services. Joint work in this area involves the use of the air fleet and railway capacities of the Russian Post for the work of the state enterprise Rosatom.

"Cooperation with the state enterprise Rosatom in the field of digitalization opens up new opportunities for us to improve the quality of services and optimize processes. We are confident that through joint efforts we will be able to implement innovative solutions more effectively," said Mikhail Volkov.

"Rosatom's cooperation with Russian Post shows that combining the resources and experience of large state-owned enterprises can lead to significant positive changes both for the companies themselves and for the broader economic and social context. I am confident that this important step towards a digital future will benefit not only the parties to the agreement, but also service users throughout Russia, and will serve as an excellent example for other organizations seeking to improve and strengthen their internal processes. We are competitive in the market," said Alexey Likhachev.

The first cooperation agreement between Russian Post and Rosatom was signed in 2023. This marks an important step in the development of interaction between the businesses. The results of the first year of cooperation were considered successful and served as the basis for continuing the partnership. For example, the preparatory stage of the study of business processes for the project to create a single service center for Russian Post was completed and the direction for testing pilot solutions for centralizing the functions of the HR office was determined.
