In St. Petersburg, a nanny was charged with the death of a six-month-old baby

In St. Petersburg, a 24-year-old resident of Uzbekistan has been charged with causing the death of an infant through negligence. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the cities on the Neva.

According to investigators, on October 15, the parents left their six-month-old son in the care of a girl who worked as a nanny in their apartment on Rensoveta Street. While bathing the child, the woman dropped the child, fell and hit her head on the bathtub.

The nanny called an ambulance. Doctors hospitalized the boy with clinical death, but were unable to save him. According to preliminary data, the child's death was caused by a skull fracture and blunt head trauma.

At first, the girl said that the child had a fever and gave him Nurofen, after which the baby began to have convulsions and stopped breathing.

The question of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention for the accused is currently being decided. The investigation continues.
